How to improve teenagers behavior and etiquette
Teenagers’ etiquette is getting worse nowadays.
They do not say please and thank you out of good manners and take things for granted.
Example like the stomp given, the 2 inconsiderate teenagers placed their feet on the bus stop seats. How can they do that? They should give the seats for the elderly to seat!.
Sometimes when I am outside, I see teenagers scolding their parents rudely for nagging when their parents are correcting their mistakes.
Teenagers’ behavior can be improved by firstly, parents can teach them to differentiate what is right and wrong.
When their children are misbehaving, they should scold them instead doing nothing.
Nowadays, the parents are also not teaching them the right, examples are like when they throw shoes down the buildings, they never scold the child, instead, praising them saying “so clever, know how to throw things”. This is what happens to my cousin kid, and I was really very furious about it!
Parents should also be polite to their seniors and elderly, to set a good role model, as what the kids learn are from their parents.
Parents should also cultivate the good habits for their child such as from young, parents should make them greet their relatives and families once they see them and also to say thank you and please when necessary.
If this does not help to improve their etiquette, schools can have extra classes for etiquette lessons after their school time. They can learn the basics straight away such as greeting every teacher they see. They can be taught soft skills, such as using eye contacts, smile, body languages, posture and conversation which is what we are born with.
Teenagers do not know the importance of good etiquette.
It is important in society, as I do not think that any company is willing to employ someone with bad etiquette to take charge of any responsibility in their company.
I am sure if teenagers improved their etiquette, the world society will be glad and happy.
