Social etiqutte on using Smartphone
Want to know something? I’ve already did my post, and I accidentally deleted everything! Now I have to redo it. Never mind. I’m a good girl. I shall do it again. ;-)
Well, we can see that smartphones are very popular nowadays. Nearly everybody is using it. We can store songs, games, pictures and even serve the net. These make it very convenience for us. We don’t need MP3, camera or laptop. All these are already combine into one, which is the smartphone.
Let me share with you a story or two that got to do with smartphone.
When my best friend got her first smartphone, she was very excited as she could use it to serve the net. Whenever we were having our lunch or dinner together at McDonald, I could see her busy serving the net. She did not touch her food, unless her phone was still loading. When I talked to her, she would ignore me. The only way to attract her attention was to nudge her. There was once when I got too upset with her behaviour, I took her phone while we were eating together. Ever since that, she learned her lesson not to serve the net on her phone when she’s with me.
This happened recently. I’m sure most of you know about it, but I just want to share it with Ms Lim.
We were having our lecture at that time. Instead of listening to the lesson, my friends and I were entertaining ourselves using one of their iphone to play game. We were trying to beat each other high scores. One of us managed to do it, and he cheered to himself. Our lecturer saw it and thought that he was dancing. Lucky for us, the lecturer did not come to our seat to check it!
Looking back at these two incidents that I experienced it myself, I realised that we, who are now using smartphone, do not draw the line between entertaining ourselves by using the smartphone and the things that are more important to us. We should know when is the time to use it and when is not. There is a limit to it. I do not use my phone most of the time when I’m with my friends or during lesson. Unless if there is an urgent call, duh!
